OUR CLUB

INSTRUCTOR James Laidlow 3rd Dan Hapkido 1st Dan Tae Kwon Do

We began as Shildon Hapklido Club with the Dukmoo Academy and Korea Hapkido Federation. In October 2006 we broke away and went on to create our own academy "Northern Martial Arts Academy".

Our club has been running for six years and has gone from strength to strength. We teach male and female, adults and children from the age of 8.

All of our students have a bond and are very close knit like a family, each student welcomes the new and remains friends with their training friends. There are five 1st dan black belts who assist the instructor, which each are helpful to any student who needs more one to one instruction as well as the students hapkido comes natural to.Our club has a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere where we encourage the building of confidence.
